We are now in the process of recycling our stock which has been removed from service.  SIS Plastic Recycling have offered a facility to collect our materials and recycle them as opposed to landfilling which was our previous system.  We hope this shows willing for our environmental commitments.

 HISTORY

With the expansion of safety netting requirements for sites as a means of fall arrest it was decided to form a company and Netting Services (Northern) Limited was formed in July 2004.

Within the first years trading the direction that the company has taken is to provide full fall arrest solutions.

We can and do provide man safe nets, bean bags, air bags, proprietary lightweight decking systems (SWL .75kn), traditional tube and fit scaffolding fall arrest/edge protection and labour for the placement of pre-cast slabs

The company are also in the final stages of development for a compliant edge protection system to BSEN13374 : 2004.  Watch This Space!!
 

FINANCIAL

Turnover has increased from £300k to 500k in the second year.

3rd year turnover is anticipated to be £1m as well as expanding assets.

RESOURCES

Current labour levels result in the ability to resource 10 squads for contracts nationwide.

FUTURE

Continual and ongoing training programmes with the target of having a multi-skilled and flexible workforce will mean that revenue streams whether it slabs, roofing , fall arrest systems, debris protection can all be resourced. Planning and service will be enhanced as a result.

The offering of the edge protection system will allow a niche service for roofers to be expanded upon as we would be the only company able to offer a complete in house service for fall arrest and edge protection which complies with the European standard BS EN 13374; 2004.

By offering the complete service for the installation of pre-cast slabs we would also be offering to clients a 'one stop shop' which together with the utilisation of the edge protection system would leave ourselves alone capable of offering a seamless on site facility which would not be reliant upon the performance of other trades. Contractual disputes would be greatly reduced and long term and repetitive business would be enhanced.

As the name suggests Netting Services (Northern) Limited is to be the first of depots with other locations being sourced in West Bromwich (NSL (Midlands)), Barnsley (NSL (Yorkshire)), Edinburgh(NSL (Scotland)) and Warrington (NSL (Lancs)). These locations are already approved and will be opened in a phased and controlled manner within the next 2 years.

With the introduction of these further depots this will allow more cost effective and local resourcing of contracts. Greater utilisation of assets will be a further benefit together with locally resourced labour which will allow improved service response time
